How To Join Indian Air Force in 2019 After 12th in 2019

Any volunteer boy can join Indian Air Force in 2019 by applying for NDA( National Defence Academy). You can join NDA(National Defence Academy) by taking the exam conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) . This exam is conducted twice a year throughout India.

Candidates, short-listed for Indian Air Force after the selection procedure, selected candidates to go through three-year training at the National Defence Academy located at Khadakwasla, followed by specialized training according to their system. Thereafter, they are Commissioned as Permanent Commission as an Officer in Indian Air force and posted as pilots at any of the Air Force Stations.

Eligibility Criteria To Join Indian Air Force in 2019

  • Age – Between 16 ½ to 19 1/2 years(at the time applying for Exam)
  • Nationality – Indian
  • Gender – Men only
  • Marital Status – Unmarried
  • Educational Qualifications – 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics. Appearing for 10+2 students can also eligible to apply.
  • Application opens on– 10-15 Nov for Jan Course and 10-15 April for July Course
  • Vacancies Per Course – 300 (195 for Army, 66 Air Force, 39 Navy)

Eligibility Criteria For Airmen

To join Indian Air Force in 2019 you must fulfill educational, physical and medical criteria. Eligibility Criteria are following

Education Qualification for group x

  • Age: Between 17- 21 Years (The upper age limit on date of enrollment is 21 years)
  • Education Qualification: Passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics, and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. Minimum 50% marks in English.
  • OR Passed 3 years Diploma in any Engineering stream, from a Government, recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in aggregate, and 50% marks in English subject in Diploma, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course, 50% marks in Intermediate/Matriculation,

GROUP ‘Y’ Trade

  • Age: Between 17- 21 Years (The upper age limit on date of enrollment is 21 years)
  • Education Qualification: Should have passed Class 10 + 2 or Equivalent exam from an education board / Institute listed in Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE), in any stream/subjects with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in 10 + 2 or Equivalent exam. Foe medical assistant trade candidate Passed 10+2 /Intermediate with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate, and minimum 50% marks in English.

PHYSICAL/MEDICAL STANDARD

To join the Indian air force in 2019 as an Airman, the candidate must be mentally and physically FIT to perform his duties in any climate, terrain. Physical/Medical Standards for an Airman are as follows:-

  • Height: Minimum height acceptable for recruitment will be 152.5 cm (Except IAF(P) 175 cm )
  • Weight: Weight should be according to height and age.
  • Chest: 5 cm Minimum range of expansion
  • Hearing: candidate Should have normal hearing ( able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters )
  • Dental: a good set of teeth and have a minimum of 14 dental points.
  • Vision: 6/12 each eye correctable to 6/6 each eye with specs
